Decorating a blank and empty spots in a room is a challenge especially if the space is too small or too big. But does that mean that you leave the gaping open space be? Absolutely not.

Go for Mirrors. Not only they will add the extra pizzaz but will also create optical illusion of more space. Try a cluster of mirrors to get the look and more of a vintage, eclectic vibe.
Multifunctional Furniture. One unique piece of furniture will cover up the open space is a nice way and will also increase the element of uniqueness and storage. Like a coffee table, perhaps.
Industrial Table. Add a cool looking industrial table at the corner of the empty space, throw in a chair and you can use it as a reading spot.
Carpet. Place a fancy rug or carpet on the floor of the empty space and the area can be transformed as a siting space or a relaxing zone.
When you start decorating, make sure every item you pick serves a purpose. Don’t overload the empty spaces with decorative items for the sake of it. It’s best if you choose items like a vintage trunk, coffee table, cushions and flowers. Also, don’t forget to use the walls as well.
